Quantum turned 19 years on June 27th and here we have some words from the MD & CEO Arjun Vikram Singh.
¨Quantum completes 19 years today, and we bow our heads in humility as we give thanks to God, Family, Friends, well-wishers and you out there – customers, partners and many others.
The last two years were tumultuous that brought challenge, hardship, sorrow and introspection. We all lost close ones, and some, even lost colleagues – as did we. Our prayers for your safe tomorrow.
But it has also brought us the most unexpected opportunity: A COVID driven Paradigm Shift in Ocean Transportation and Logistics, from being Technology Resistant to Digital Transformation Champions. Magically, the retardants we faced bandwidth, servers costs, digital awareness, and tech budgets vanished, to be replaced by a quest to be efficient, asset light, and customer centric.
We find ourselves in the unique position to innovate once again, enabled by advances in AI, ML and RPA : to build better and more unique solution / systems than before.
Over 2020 and 2021, Quantum had the remarkable opportunity to conceptualise, design, develop and commission a Zero Key-Stroke system for Guaran Feeder, one that took us to new technology, concepts, integrations and efficiencies.
This has enabled us to chart our future product strategy and the choices of architecture, technology, core business modules, external best practice, integration to global common standards, and portals. Digital Thinking enables us to take an empathetic route to ensure we satisfy all your user needs.
We see tremendous opportunity around AI driven tools and decision enabling systems. Transportation may not have complete appreciation of Artificial Intelligence and what it can do for them in progressively enabling key processes, and drive user efficiency and client satisfaction.
To achieve all of this, we need strong leadership at all levels, with excellence in people and process. We need fanatical commitment to the products, discipline and maintaining our core culture. We need to use data and predictive modelling in all internal and external decision making.
And above all, we need to celebrate our wins.
We are also pleased to bring aboard key hiring that makes us much more responsive and effective. We have a new Vice President of Technology, a highly experienced Technical Architect, two senior Product Managers, a senior Human Resource Partner, and very importantly, a Marketing Manager who will lead our branding and digital strategy.
We must acknowledge the selfless contribution of the rest of the team who over these two years gave us the success with the CONNECT and MyGUARAN systems. They were true warriors and Quantum and I are deeply grateful to them.
Let me also take this time to thank those of you who were part of our journey. You were significant and fundamental contributors and Quantum and I owe you a lot. Yet, we are not at our destination, and when we do get there, we will celebrate the victory together.
